What is My Cake?
My Cake is Cake's employee app — a separate space from the cap table where employees can view their equity grants, track vesting progress, and understand what their ownership stake is worth now and in the future.
What can employees see in My Cake
Employees can see their equity grants (NSO, ISO, RSU, RSA, and more), vesting schedule and milestones, current and projected equity value, and educational content explaining how their equity works. They can also set a personal equity goal — such as a home, car, or college fund — and track their progress toward it.
Can employees see the company's full cap table?
No. My Cake is completely separate from the cap table. Employees only see information relevant to their own equity — founders and admins retain full control over what's visible.
Do employees need help understanding their equity?
Cake includes equity explainer videos to help employees understand their grants, vesting, and value. Expert-led virtual Q&A sessions are also available to answer employee questions directly, reducing the HR overhead of explaining equity one-on-one.
